I live in california and recently the tvpad reset itself and deleted all the apps. After I reinstalled yuetv 2.3 back I could not get the damn thing to work. The only way I got it to work again is to install v0.4 of YueTV, which it then auto update to v0.42 and then also auto install sunshine apps to watch China channel. You don't need to pay for the DNS. I use auto and it's working fine. This post gave a lot of good info.

TBH this seems like a local network issue.
