That's interesting. May have to test different countries and see any of them works also.

For most computer novice, maybe the VPN method is hard. Can someone come up with something similar to the jailbreaking software for Xiaomi Box? It would be easier.

The Zenmate option is too expensive. It is 6.49 Euro per month for yearly subscriptions after the 7 free days. It is around $84 per year. I need to get something for free or less expensive.

For people like me who have TVpad1/2, a VPN router might be the only option.
I have some old router that I can use but couldn't get it to work with PureVPN PPTP or regular PPTP for that matter.

So it's very important for me to know what brand and model of router others (XChemical, etc) had successful made it to work.
    Thanks.

You can find the 3-day trial here: https://www.purevpn.com/blog/trial-vpn/
But it is not a free trial and cost $2.50.

I am still waiting for other to report back which router brand and model works with PureVPN so I can buy one.
This will enable all devices in my house to have access.

I am new to this VPN thing. Is the OpenVPN only $9.60 per year? Do you think license key means one year of service? Their price link is at: https://openvpn.net/index.php/access-server/pricing.html

If only $9.60 per year to fix this outage, I think my relatives and my friends would have no problem. I will sign one up and install it to try. I need to look for the Andriod app. Maybe someone can come up with the most cost effective way to bring the TV pad 4 back to live.

This seems like a good price for 2 years.

Have you been able to get vpngate working with PPTP? DSL login actually is PPPoE (Point to Point over Ethernet) and not PPTP.

Vpn start from 10 dollars a year, 19 for 3 years and 29 to 39 for lifetime. Some support 5 users with 1 account .

Test their Android apk before purchase. Some requires a mouse to select server. Most of them works with tvpad.

$9.99 per Andriod device per year is so cheap. Can someone test this one is working on TV Pad 4 and write detail instructions on how to set it up step by step?

Can you test it if it is working on TVPad 4. It needs to have good enough speed to stream the TVB HD and CCTV HD. I think 1.5 MB per second should be enough but should be constant 1.5 MB or more. Also, it need to be easy to setup.

    Tomato123,

Thanks for all your work to fellow struggling TV Pad users. Is it the One Click VPN for $9.99 per year? I am just a computer novice and new on VPN. I may get loss if it is not step by step. Can you share or write an instructions step by step how to set it up? Do you have to chnage the DNS or PPTP? Is all the apps working without any buffering such as ?????? ? BETV Plus. Is the dramas and 3 days playback OK too? Can you go to the app store and the app store have all the apps. ?????? ? BETV Plus Had disappeared from the App Store but they have other stuffs. I had confirmed the blocking is to US IP only. The TV Pad works 100% in Canada. We can proabaly sell it to Chinese Canadian. They may eventually get block too. Therefore, getting an IP in a small county such as Poland with no paid TVB and CCTV service is the way to go. TV Pad maybe the one blocking it from China. There are so few Chinese in Poland that China won't bother to block them.

When selecting VPN service, sometimes price is not the issue.
Most good VPN service suitable for streaming, p2p and torrenting cost between $8-$10 a month
Also, you should consider the stealthiness of the server, access logging and service interruption recovery, and vulnerability to hack attacks.

You don't want the governments on either side of the pond to trace your activity. right? Please read through the reviews of the VPN provider, whoever you choose, be a long term service commitment.

Check out this article as an example on what to look for in a VPN service provider:
    https://www.bestvpn.com/blog/19833/5-best-vpns-for-torrents-p2p-and-filesharing/

    Just my 2 cents.

I have NOT tested "one click VPN" yet.
Just found it's very cheap for $9.99 per device.

I still have Zenmate 7 days trial working. I may test one click after one click expired.B)
At the same time, I keep searching for best solution.

???? and ?????? is 100% working with VPN.
