What DNS did you use for the tvpad after you connect to the VPN router?

Only a very specific server is "restricting" us. Most likely, service and apps from tvpad. other 3rd party apps to other servers are still good even with auto dns. i.e. the taiwan tv app. the Hot korean app, etc.

Old firmware works with no issue been streaming for pass 12 hours on dns 49.213.10.163 With vpn to canada. Streaming at almost max speed 1.6mbs.
    ??????, hktv, ????, ???? all worked.

7po ???? no longer in service . But I think I got it half going once by clicking menu a few times.

The work around to get apk installer . Is to install tv browser under the app store, second one on top. Then you can find another app market ???? or file manager quick link. Then you side load es explorer and other apk via USB.

A side note on vpn app. You need to manual disconnect tunnel before cold reboot. Or the ethernet / wifi will break and no longer work properly until you do factory restore.
You need to turn on vpn apk on auto dns, then once vpn runs, you can set the manual dns. And don't do hard reboot.

In order to get this work, you need to VPN plus you need to change DNS too? Or just VPN is fine?

Get any of the free vpn trial apk with 500mb. And unlimited speed. Logs in once on auto dns. Once it connect to vpn. Put in manual dns 23.xxx. and leave the trial vpn on forever just don't hit disconnect on the vpn software. Once you put manual dns the vpn software wont be able to check account status, so the app will thinks you have plenty of data left. You can put the tvpad to sleep. Mine had been over data limit for a long time and still going strong. I advise to use NA dns with shortest vpn for best speed.

The problem is if I enable VPN and then later on got the restricted message, there's no way to turn off the VPN. I have to unplug the power and reboot. After reboot, the LAN is gone and have to do factory reset. It is pain in the ass to reload the softwares again.
