I followed the TVpad instruction: downloaded, extracted, inserted the USB on the TVpad 4. However, there was no pop up installation. Please let me know, what's wrong of my TVpad.

I got another TVpad 2. The TVBseries works fine. However, the Live TV does not work at all. Should I change the TVpad DNS or change the DNS on the router?

someone told me few days ago tell me try to reset back to manufacturer setting. now I Lost all my apps, we better NOT listen to too many wrong advice, and today I found this DNS 49.213.10.163 works on USA, only few apps I can download from the app store, TVB no longer there, only able to watch tv from China.

You need to copy batchinstall.banana to the root, inset the usb to tvpad, then it should pop up.

after i install the new apps, most of them are not working, keep buffering...

Are you running tvpad 4? If so check the other thread about the APK downloads.

I have TVPAD2 M233_4300/GVOS 3.70 does not even have the green guy showed up with all DNSs. And I tried to upgrade to 3.94 but would not let me upgrade as the green guy is not on.

Wonder if anyone has new DNS that I can try for GVOS 3.7?

    Thanks

Check the "TVPad 4 Useful files" thread to get back the HK TV apps.

I just installed those 29 apps and here is my experience,

    I have a TVpad 4 with firmware 5.054
I set my network connection to acquire DNS automatically.
    I live in California

I am only interested in Cantonese progamme, i.e. TVB therefore out of 29 apps I found only two fits my need. I tried the other apps too but they are either slow to load the app or slow to load the selected program.

The above post mentioned these two apps for Cantonese shows,
    1. ???? - it is actually named ????
    2. ???

The first app has many channels from HK and TW, some are loaded smoothly (probably it is not a popular channel) but unable to load "????" or "J2".

The second app is a VOD app for drama or variety shows, don't mistake it for something like "????" and I can't load anything because it is so damn slow.

Therefore my conclusion is those apps are pretty much useless

    Hi XChemical,

I followed your way to connect my TVPAD1 through a VPN server in Hong Kong. Unfortunately I still couldn't get the 'Green Man' using DNS 49. Could you help?

have you try to go to any site using the router connected to the vpn to make sure you can connect to the internet. if you can go to whatismyip.com to make sure your out address is in hk or where ever it is. also try other dns to make sure.

Yes. I did test the connection. It is connected to the internet and the IP is located in HK. And I tried most of these DNS:-

    199.231.210.237
    146.0.227.36
    23.234.51.175
    110.34.169.179
    49.213.10.163
    183.57.43.70

    But no luck!

Hi, I changed the network setting to Manual/183.57.43.70 from Auto/75.75.75.75, when trying to save changes, a pop-up said the other fields (IP, gateway, etc.) can't be empty. Changes got reverted to auto/75.75.75.75 when going back to previous menu page. Can someone tell me how to make the DNS changes stick? TIA.

i normally don't tell people to set the router to give out dns to the device, but you can tell the router to do that.
