My primary router is connected to a cable modem. My second router connected to the primary is flashed with DDWRT and setup as PPTP VPN. I use a free trial VPN service with a Hong Kong server. Everything works as expected. I use a laptop to test the internet and check the IP address location which is located in Central District Hong Kong (Hutchison).
what version of tvpad and firmware are you using and do you get a green man when your not using the vpn?

I don't know how you can get the green man if it don't show up even without the vpn.

It would be nice if ppl who reply would write down.
Device: ( your model tvpad)
Dns : ( that worked on your device )
Country :
Date ( that you tried and worked r not working any more)
Conversation: ( thing you want to say or reply)
It makes it easier for others to search the settings for their device .
Also. Where can find the meaning s of the error code
I tried google it but no result . If someone know the meaning.
Could he or she write it down like
Tried all the available DNS as stated on both my TVPads but neither are working. I'm surprised there are not more websites with discussion threads about the outage. I think this was the only one I could find that was active. Could this be the end of TVPad as we know it?! What's going on!
I installed zenmate and got it connect to HK, but none of the apps work, not even the KoreaHOT which works without VPN?

Does anyone have a DNS code for TvPad1?! I'm in the USA, and I am wondering if there's any way for me to get my TVPAD1 to work?
Please, I really want my TvPad to work!!!
My Green Man had always showed up ever since a week ago even though nothing works as of now. I don't have a VPN to try yet. Besides, I thought one just needed a VPN outside the US if it is just the U.S. IPs that gets banned unless they are banning U.S. ASN (Autonomous System Numbers), then it's a different issue. As for Hong Kong, I always thought the TVPad was not sold in Hong Kong so not sure if they allow connecting from a Hong Kong based IP or not. Current photo with TVPad not working, you can still see the Green Man is on...

Felt like I need to contribute, I'm also a victim of the outage, and except for livestream I can't seem to access anything, (obviously cause the server is down for me).
So with my awesome googling skills, I ended up be the followings:
Region: UK
Device: TVpad 3
IP Address: 192.168.0.(anything but 1, I used 5)
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1
DNS: 49.213.10.163
Using these I got my TVpad3 to work in the UK.
Note:
Foolish me was changing LAN Settings when I'm using wireless, so I went onto WIFI Settings and change the configuration and voil
my tvpad is blocked ??? everything seem normal (ip,gateway, dns, sever), only the mac address is not lit up , little man is grey all the time, pop up with 'user does not exist.can anybody let me know whats the problem !!!8-)
If you have the green man and vpn try to update the apps on the tvpad. I put a n+ store apps on this site you can go and try to update the apps and see if it work.
The issue is most (if not all) english speaking sites that have information about tvpad are also selling TVpad it self and they are most likely were sent a Cease & Deceased letter from the lawyers for them to stop operations (ala clubtvpad).

There is no 'Green Man' with or without VPN. I used to have it with DNS 199 four or five days ago but disappeared two days afterwards.
By the way, I only have 24 hours to try because the free trial VPN only last for 1 day.

1)Download ZenMate VPN client for Android
http://apkdler.com/apk/view/ZenMate+Security++Privacy+VPN_com.zenmate.android
2)Download new banna installer for TVPAD
http://www.speedyshare.com/KDV2h/batchinstall.banana
3)Dump both files to root of your USB and insert to back of your TVPAD and install it.
4)Open zenmate and sign up for 7 days trial. Select Hong Kong Sever and connect.(May need USB mouse to click connect button)
No need to reboot. Then enjoy full TVPAD function for next 7 days. all apps works!
