I tried to google everywhere for an old Firmware and unable to find one. I updated manually to the new firmware and now restricted as well. Like XChemical said, Does anyone have an old firmware?
everything was working fine till I test the vpn to other place and got hit with restricted user.

Put auto DNS back and reboot will remove the restriction again.

Will not be able to watch anything if I revert, and as soon as I switch it back it becomes restricted. As of now it might become paper weight.

So right now you can't get back the working stage?

I can get it into the state were it is unrestricted. But as soon as I changed the dns then it will become restricted again.

use the canada vpn. set everything to auto. save and reboot. seems to work for me.

Tested on mom's TVPad4 running 5.054, upgrading just those 23 .apk files, the Chinese episodes/movies ALL started working again (in Mississauga, Ontario).
However, my brother same TVPad4 running 5.054 (but in Los Angeles) with updating 23 .apk files. Having server connection issues. None of the TV Episodes/Movies work for him.
batchinstall.banana seems to only recognize tvpad apps, I tried to put more apks like vchannel into the usb but batchinstall.banana cannot seem to load them.
Any workaround? Thanks.
you can try renaming your app to one of the original 23? delete the one in the 23, then just pick it during batch download? Not sure if it'll work, not near my box at the moment.

just tested the new banna batchinstall from the 29file upload. it has a extra line checkapp=no and it can install any apk from your usb not just tvpad file. No need to go all around just to sideload anything.
The new 29app has new tvb apps seems work well.
place banna in root of usb along with any apk you want to install.

There are 29 files in the zip files which 'supposed' to help to overcome the issue for TVPad4 user with version 5.054 and below.
Have anybody tried it yet?
