Just so you won't go nuts trying to figure out why it's not working.
Even though your firmware is updated. And even though your apps is updated. We are still back to square 1. With the occasional render your box useless and requires a cold boot. Can't complain, since Padman did warn us beforehand.
You can still do the DNS trick and get the app from the app store. I did that to get 2 apps that Padman doesn't have. Youtube, moliplayer, With these 2, at least my box is not a total waste.

I'm from MN in US, and after changing my DNS, mytvpad4 can see all ads, store and even the program tables - but it can't playback anything though. I can see that it connected to the server and got some data from it, but it doesn't talk back to carry on though. Anyways, to my surprise, it can't play any of the chinese/hk stuffs,but it does work in the Korean HOT app though.
It is a tvpad4 on 5.0.4, and it can't get upgraded to 5.0.6 for it's detected as the latest already. So, should i do a factory reset and try upgrade again? My hunch is that an upgrade is needed for it to work perfectly.

No don't upgrade to 5.06 if you are in US with TVPAD otherwise you will end up like use. "Restricted"

Base on tvnuts information he got from the live chat. They going to fix it sometime next week. so Lets hope for the best. I guess I will use the confirmed dns for tvpad2 for now until they resolve it.

I posted a somewhat of a fix on this site, but you have to use vpn and the tvpad dns for it to work and I live in the U.S. east coast. I believe they are blocking ip outside of china.
I am worrying about TVPAD4 connection to the App Store that eventually may not be able to connect to the store for downloading useful applications.
Can I install apk applications (like TV file manager and Kodi, HDP etc) by using only USB stick without even depending on TVPAD connection?
I have downloaded the TVPAD app zip file from PADMAN's thread. Is the 'batchinstall.banana' file the application triggering the auto installation of apks files to TVPAD4?
Please confirm as I am still waiting for TVPAD4 to be shipped to me.
