Sure they could. However you can just startup another shell company and start selling another box under another brand.
The cycle continues.

Yes, I am sure they will. That's why I warn in the post that ppl should think twice if their 1-3 stops working and there's a "deal" to upgrade to 4.
I've already seen other boxes popping up with similar features. They maybe be another shell company of tvpad, who knows.

I'm sure most of us here know what we were getting into when we bought the TVpad. It was a lot easier use than to download torrents for our parents. I'm surprised it lasted this long. If you had it for more than a year, you got your money worth.
Yes, you are taking another gamble when upgrading to 4.
If you have a working VPN, you should be able to update the 3 apps officially from the TVPad Store. You may need to cold reboot the TVP to get the TVPad Store loaded. I did it that way. I even uninstalled the updated apps, reloaded the old version and then update the apps again. My TVP4 has firmware 5.06, you should upgrade yours too if necessary as long as you do it online within the settings, I don't see any ill effect of doing so.

Thanks to tomato 123, i installed the three apps to my tvpad4, auto dns, as is, no vpn, in bayarea , california.
None of the three new apps work.
V channels still works.
Moon box apps work, including adult channel work( no audio , just video)
Yue works but hiccup a lot.
As far as I understand the new apps + auto dns only + no vpn only works for people outside of US

Does anyone know what might be my issue here? I connect to vpn hk server using 49 address. When I watch the vod apps , everything is fine. But when I use the live stream and live stream time delay app, my vpn connection gets disconnected. I've tried connecting to vpn servers in other regions and still same issue. The apps I'm refering to are the ones with the blue and pink circular icons. Anyone experienced this and knows what the issue is?
Even for paid DNS,look like only streaming channels working and VOD are not. why? I tried both VPN and paid DNS and I cannot find a way to make all the apps working with both streaming and VOD.

49.213.10.163 works for live channels and time shift.
182.146.167.166 works for ???.
I am using wireless connection for my TVPAD3. I tried the 49 address, but it still say "failed to set cable network".
As far as I know, I should be entering the addresses right for LAN setting...
Ipconfig, then copy down the subnet and gateway address...
What am I missing?
Thanks.

V channels still works.

Yue works but hiccup a lot.
