    @BennyLam:
    I am in US/NYC
The TVPad4 is already on auto Network setting.
But the TVPad Store is empty regardless I use VPN or not.

Can you share your method to access the store.

Also, if other folks in US can access TVPad Store on TVPad4, please share your method.
    Much appreciated

When you refresh the auto network settings, did you get a DNS which is not just duplicating the internet gateway?

In any case, when you get into the App Store, even there is nothing pop up, you still can go to the Admin page, just select update and there will be 3 apps available for update, that was how I updated the apps.

    BennyLam,
When I refresh the Ethernet setting, the Gateway address and the DNS address always show the same: 192.168.1.1
Can you PM me the 67x address ? Maybe I can try entering it manually and see what happens.

When you are in the App Store, go to the very top and then scroll to the far right. It may not called Admin, I just translated it from Chinese. Anyway, I just sent you a PM.

I think yes some service is back up but not updated namely the vod and replay. My question is it is going to update the content or they just play like this and say it is "working" until shutdown? Although, doesn't make much difference if they were going to shutdown soon anyways, but it is really bad insincere business practices.

The 49 xxx DNS is currently working here in west coast (Oregon) for TVP3, at least for the time being.

The paid dns is working for tvpad 3. I suspect VPN + other region blocked dns servers would also work

With the tvpad4 in the us, I vpn to Canada and set the dns to 49. With that I can see the App Store and update those 3 apps.

One thing I found out re: the older versions of these 3 apps, was that the on-demand stopped working (live still worked) unless the dns was set to 49. After updating them to the latest versions, 49. still works, but other non-US dns works as well. This is with the tvpad4.

I have a tvpad2 as well which I haven't tried for a while after I received the 4 as a gift. If it is true that they are shutting down all the pre-4 tvpads, I believe they are trying to make the last buck before shutting the whole system down. The manufacturing cost for these boxes are low. They shutdown 1-3 and promo $99 or $149 upgrades to 4. With them losing the lawsuit, they are just counting their days before declaring bankruptcy and disappear. There is no way for them to pay the judgement to TVB. They will just show up as another name doing similar things later.

So be warned before u update to a 4.

Why do they need to declare bankrupt.

Do you honestly think they will pay the lawsuit ?

I mean there's no way they will pay any judgement. They may or may not declare bankruptcy but they will disappear for sure.

After losing the us lawsuit, it shouldn't be difficult for Fairchild Canada (is it still Fairchild in Canada?) or some equivalent entities in Australia/NZ//UK to sue and win easily because of the US verdict.
