Set the gateway of TVPad to IP of the VPN router.

    Basic questions about vpn setup.
-Do I need just 1 physical router?? I am assuming the other router is virtual and you can add subnets (different network) on the other virtual router.
-Do I need to configure pptp server and pptp client on my router??
-My router has 1 wan and 4 lan ports. I am assuming the modem plugs to wan, and all other devices plugs to lan. Is this correct physical setup?? If not, I am assuming we need 2 wan ports, therefore another physical router.

Please help me and everyone else. Thanks.

    See the diagram on http://tvpadnews.com/2015/11/25/getting-your-tvpad-ready-for-thanksgiving/

You're going to make yourself do extra work if you are trying to use 1 router. Just load it on an extra router.

I am confirming that this DNS works partially from New York.
I can watch HK channels but not the NIJI app and apps that stream China channels.

How do you guys keep discovering new DNS to use?

I was going to get 2 routers on Black Friday, as padman suggested. But the temporary dns 123.127.108.135 is working now. Will setup vpn later.

Now that tvpad temporary works because of a new dns 123.127.108.135, I want to ask a quick question about vpn router diagram setup. Because vpn is guarantee to work because when you connect to a destination, the destination wont know it is you, because it is hitting a 3rd party server first.

If I get a second router, do I connect the second router lan port to the first router lan port?? I am assuming only the first router is connected to a wan port , and the second router wan port is not connected to anything. Is that right?? Will use that method when dns don't work.

No, you should connect the second router on wan port to the first router on lan port.

Here is a good starting point when looking for a new DNS server.

I switched from AUTO back to Manual this evening, and change the DNS back to 49..., I can watch TVB now and the previous days TV programs. Also the Taiwan TV "516 network TV" is up. So this is better than then AUTO. Yay.

The alternative to TVpad is to get the Android TV box. I recently asked a friend to buy me a "???? 3" Androx TV box this May, 2015, and I have had a ball since then. I want to keep my TVpad working since I have paid $200 plus for it, but it stop working tomorrow, I really not worry about it because I have my "???? 3". This box, and any other Android TV box are just wonderful. They allow you to install many Android apps to the box that allow you to watch all TV drama, TV seriers, and TV stations. I also instaqll Kobi which is unbelievable that I can even watch most NFL American football games, all newest US movies, documentaries and "xxx" stuff, , just Google "Kobi" and you will know what I mean. Trust me, spend roughly $150 US to get a Android TV box to work along with your existing TVpad.
