Subject: So close to setting up a vpn router. Please help.
I plug the wan of the second router (vpn router), to the lan of the first router. My testing laptop connects to the second router and I am able to get onto internet. I installed firmware dd-wrt on my second router so it has the univeral graphic interface. After the log in page, I click "basic setup" tab, under wan setup under connection type, I choose "pptp". I specify the servername "hk.privateinternetaccess.com" and my username and password on the privateinternetaccess.com that I subscribed to. When I ipchicken.com on the testing laptop, I still have my own public ipaddress, so tv pad is not working. What am I missing?
Please try to help me and the rest of the other people. When it works, I will write down the exact steps to all you folks that it works.

Ok. if your version is 3.26 that means your is Pad1 chance you have grey man( not green man) bottom of right corner.....
Probably better if you do a screenshot of your setup and the admin page

Did you use that right user name and password from PIA? There are two user names and passwords for logging in your account at PIA, and the other for accessing VPN service. Usually, the user name starts at "p" for logging in your account at PIA website. The user name starts at "x" is your VPN access' user name.
If you read Chinese, you can try this url - http://soft.tvhome.com/detail/1.html To load the Sofa Manager. Once installed you can load many other TV app in your Android TV box. The best app for me is the Rabbit ?????You can also go to YouTube and search for ????3 to get a feel of the tv box. The other one is Moon Box, around 200 us. One thing about the tv box is they do not have TVB programming but can watch most of the newest TVB ??? But there is an app called Cloud TV that has many free TV stations and if you are willing to pay 7 us a month, you can watch all TVB channels and many others.
Thanks Blakec010's latest comment about "The network test shows abnormal for both DNS and server but works none the less".
From Nov 25, my DNS updated to 146 is no longer working on my TVpad3 and TVPad4 both boxes. But after reading the page 1 Original post with latest update, I change to 12s dns, but no matter how much I did network test, it shows "abnormal on both DNS and server". I did not try application directly until I read "Blakec010"comment and the 'using 123 DNS with the same network test result, but I can receive everything again.
What is the bottom line of this? Why we need to change it all the time(This is 2nd time since end of Oct)? Is TVPad manufactor working on this problems? I am sure this is major negative impact for their sales.
Thanks everyone providing how to temp. patch this not receiving issue.
I'm in texas and I have tvpad 2 (4 of them) None of the DNS works for me. Even auto dosn't work. Anyone have new DNS for something that would help me to watch programs through tvpad again please share. Thank you.
