    Thanks, Padman.

I'm using the login and password, but it's disconnecting. Where do I enter the secret key that they also provided me ? I tried putting it in the Confirm Password and still disconnected.

    padman,

wonder if you could help. I have a Linksys WRT54GS with DD-WRT firmware. Here is my setup:

    router1 - FIOS router
    router2- Linksys (use for VPN)
1- cable from router1 LAN to router2 WAN

    Connection type: L2TP
username: my signed up email address
    password: supplied password
    Gateway (L2TP Server): hk.vpnunlimitedapp.com

    STP: disabled

    router IP:
assigned a local IP on the same subnet as router 1
    DHCP on router2: enabled

when I save settings + reboot router and checked the status page on WAN:
    connection type: L2TP
login status: disconnected . I tried to cllick the 'connect' button to connect, it refreshed the screen and still show disconnect.

Any idea? what Dlink router you have that works with VPNUnlimited?

I'm having the same problem as you. My modem/router 1 is 2Wire 3600HGV and my router 2 is TPLink TL-WR842ND. I originally tried PPTP, but that didn't work and tried L2TP with the same response as yours. What did you do with the secret key that they gave you ? I tried the password they gave me and I also tried to do the secret key for the confirm password. Nothing is working yet.

i'm definitely on the VPN; i used www.ipchicken.com to verify.
i've switched to several different servers, still no good. :(

That should be it really. What about when you check the logs on the router ? It should say if the vpn connection was successful or not

Try to cold start your router 1. A guy had the same issue, and he told me that he got it working after cold start the router 1.

For people who use dd-wrt, I followed this guide and it worked for me. Just set everything up as shown in the guide. Remember to use L2TP not PPTP. After you connect TVpad to the VPN router, make sure you use the auto network option the first time and then switch it back to manual and change the DNS to 49.213.10.163. Everything seems to work now but it is a bit slow especially the daily program playback app. Not sure if it's my connection, the VPN connection, or the TVpad server is just slow with fewer users. I am using the HK server right now but might try a different one.

    Hi,

I assumed you are still connecting from the router1 lan port to the 2nd router(DD-WRT) WAN port, correct?

Just tested it with the guide you provided and confirmed it works. I am able to connect to the 2nd router(with VPN) and I see the HK IPs from www.ipchicken.com

I guess the different was you HAVE to set your 2nd router IP to different subnet rather the same subnet as your main router. Otherwise it won't work.

    1- main router(FIOS router) 192.168.1.x subnet
    2- 2nd router( Linksys DD-WRT VPN firmware) 192.168.2.x s subnet
3- cable from router1 LAN port to 2nd router(VPN) WAN port
    4-following the guide by 'unnamed'.
5- if you are working on a PC connect to your 2nd router with a wired, check and confirm you have 192.168.2.x IP after you rebooted your 2nd router. If you still had the 192.168.1.x IP from main router. Do ipconfig /release and let it assign an IP from the 2nd router and make sure you are now having 192.168.2.x IP.

If you check the 2nd router(which is now 192.168.2.1), the status on WAN page should show connected.

hope it helps and clear some issue people have.

I have VPNUnlimited and using L2TP, NOT PPTP.

Hi - do you have a solution for tvpad2?

I'm using vpnunlimited. I converted the host name to the host ip and used that for the L2tp connection with my Dlink router.

I used my username & password, and looks like it's connected but the connection is quite slow. I verified it with the 2nd router connected to my laptop with ipchicken and it showed the hk server ip.

Once i did the wire connection between the 2nd router and the tvpad2, what do i have to do next? i'm not seeing the green man and nothing is connected. I used the 49.213.10.163 DNS IP but shows as abnormal when i'm testing.

    Thanks

Strange, try another location. Some people reported the Europe servers worked good.

I tested my tvpad1/tvpad2 works fine. But the VOD app on tvpad1 not working, I am having version 1.24 I believed.
My tvpad4 at the beginning not working, I got a cross on the 'man' icon. I have the network set to manually with 49.x DNS. I changed it to auto with DNS 8.8.8.8, unplug and power back on. Then the man icon seems connected. Test the live app, works, but none of the VOD app works.

When I changed to 49.x dns, I got "use of TVPAD is restricred, please contact your reseller" mesg when I opened any apps. I never upgraded my firmware on tvpad4.
