DNS to use with TVPAD 1/2/3

Note: This is for people using a VPN already.
For the US people with older TVPads, you may be stuck with the VPN options on the router option.
If you are already got the VPN connected via the router and still not able to get it to work, try using the 49 DNS server. They have been confirmed working by me.

Is the service actually legal in HK or that sever will get shutdown too?
First, thanks for your contribution for helping us. I am not a tech in dealing with VPN & networking. I have a several question to ask if you don't mind.
I have a TVPad 1 & Tvpad 3 both at my home now. I guess, as you mentioned, I need to have subscribe VPN with second router.
Mnay thanks

Anything that is connected to the VPN router will have a 10-15% overhead so you will only see 85% of the maximum thru-put of whatever the slowest link is as there are basically two connections in reality, the one between you and the VPN Server and the one between the VPN Server and the TVPad servers. As for the router, the newer routers delivers higher speeds as it's not just about the advertised speeds of the router but what the routers actual thru-put is as there are some 100Mbps routers that deliver 30Mbps max.
N900 is actually the speed of 900Mbps combined and not the model of the router which is actually WNDR4500. Read a review of your router here:
http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/wireless/wireless-reviews/31621-netgear-wndr4500-retest
As you only have a 25Mbps WAN (Wide Area Network) Internet connection, the router is faster than your internet connection as WiFi will be 150Mbps and wired is 100Mbps, both which do not even touch more than 7% of the routers capabilities, you should be fine. The only thing is make sure your router software is up to date.
If you can wait for shipping buy this one from newegg. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833704039&cm_re=router-_-33-704-039-_-Product
If you want to try it asap. You can goto your local computer store and buy a router. All the same at the end. The TVPads only uses about 1Mbit/sec for streaming so the throughput on each tvpad isn't demanding.

1. Is any video show us how to connect two routers to Tvpad either 1 or 3? I saw you have the video connect to TVPAD 4 but not the old legend TVPAD. Sorry if I miss any video you posted.
I am try to get this one (Linksys E1200 from amazon with Certified Refurbished) since one guy post how to setup VPN for this router (I am not a tech) so it may be easy if I follow his setup up VPN.

2. If the DNS in HK or China, will the TVPad will choppy, not smooth
Mnay Thanks
I have 4 tvpad 2's in my house in different rooms of course. Now, my question is do I need extra router for each room to get
the tvpad working (extra router meaning for the VPN). Or can I just get one router and plug into my original modem/router (in one room closet where all the home networking is connected)and have networking wired to each room where my tvpad's are connected?
I hope I'm not too confusing since I myself is little confused. LOL. Thank you and hope I can get my tvpads working again.
Thank you for reading my post and have wonderful day.

You won't be able to get in the N-Store as US IP isn't allowed. "Pure Internet Access" or "Private Internet Access"? If anything, take a picture of the App. I'll download it for you and post it here.
1 I had set up pure vpn account
2. using tp-link router (setup PPTP/Russia PPTP with korean server kr1.purevpn.net) "connected"
3 with my tvpad 2 did the manual dns to 49.213.10.163
done in about 5 days ago. and the tvpad worked great.
Then today it's not working. I double checked the router and it is connected!
DNS still 49~ but not working. Anyone having the same problem? Any suggestions?
Please help. Thanks in advance.
The other tvpad1 on the same connect is still working fine.
I think the authenication server is no longer available or reachable for whatever reason.
I have changed the DNS IP to many different IP but still unable to get it working again.
Anyone have the FQDN for the authenication server so I can check?
Please post new DNS IP if it works for you.
Btw, I have tvpad1 with the latest firmware.
Thanks.
