Reset display settings to default?

When I turn on my HTVbox, the display is all scrambled, like this: http://prntscr.com/c6750k

I thought the HDMI port was broken, but by pressing the menu button on the remote continuously while turning on the HTVbox, I was able to get into the Android maintenance menu without any display problems: http://prntscr.com/c675aq

I think the output display resolution or display frequency is wrong. How can I reset the resolution or frequency using the remote? Anyone experienced anything like this?

    If you are able to goto the maintenance menu, you should be able to bring it back to factory settings. You tried that ?

    If possible, I would like to avoid doing that, because I barely used the HTVbox. I broke it within 15 minutes...

    I guess you could always try connecting to a computer monitor as they usually have better frequency range.

    I hooked up the HTVbox to a monitor using a HDMI to DVI adapter. It didn't work, still those scrambled display. Tried again later on a different older monitor and this time it didn't even produce a picture. However when I replugged the HTVbox to the monitor using HDMI, the display was restored normally! I quickly set the resolution to auto again to prevent this ordeal happening again. =)
