Root TVPAD 4
Here's how to root your TVPad4:
1) Download both root file (zip) and TWRP boot up img.
2) Put both files to the SDCard. (USB drive does not work)
3) Unplug the power of TVPad4.
4) Plug the power and keep pressing the menu button on the remote
5) You should see the TWRP boot up screen (if you don't see it, you are doing something wrong)

6) Use a USB mouse and click install
7) Select S89_root_update.zip
8) Swipe to confirm flash
9) Reboot system and enjoy

Beside, rooting the box does not mean it will became $30 box.
KingRoot 4.1 will do it. Download the apk on the 2nd link if you're not downloading from the tvpad4 itself, otherwise the 1st link might not get you the apk.

Notes: Sideload the apk using the batchinstall.banana file You must be connected to the internet via wifi to have kingroot working. It's not smart enough to figure out you're connected via Ethernet.
Once you have you have root, you can get rid of the KingMaster app. If you don't like the KingUser app and prefer SuperUser, follow these instructions (You will need a keyboard to do it).

More Notes: I have no idea what the KingMaster app does. KingUser is just like SuperUser by chainfire but it's KingRoots own version. I'm am use to using SuperUser but KingUser seems to work just fine too.
After you get root, download adaway to block ads from vChannel (if you're so inclined).

KingRoot 4.1 does not work with my 5.06 firmware.
