How Can You Tell It Is A UBox Gen S800 (Gen 2) or Ubox Gen S800 Plus (Gen 3)

Hi

Any difference between the 2 boxes and how do spot the difference?

    As far as I know it's still gen 2, plus is considered as gen 2.5 but still gen 2. Honestly not sure how to tell difference, mine just states s800 global in my android about page.

    Mine is a S800 as well in the about device page

    Mine is just the S800 Global Edition and is written on the package box, under the device, and under About->Model Number within Android.

    I read on the net that the main difference between S800 and S-800 PLUS is the amount of RAM memory. S800 is 512MB and S800 Plus is 1GB. I checked the RAM amount at the bottom of APPs->Running, it shows 243MB used and 252MB free, so mine is indeed a 512MB unit.

    I don't know if there is any firmware or software/hardware difference between the 2 versions.....

    Thank you see,

    I can see from the Running Apps screen it is 1GB RAM.
    But under Model Number within Android it is Global-Edition S800 and the box say S800Plus Overseas.
    I am 75% convinced it is S800PlusOverseas.

    Yep, you have the newer S800 PLUS and should be faster/more responsive when changing/loading apps.

    slee was right, S800Plus has More RAM and Better Performance than S800
