Tvpad3 vpn

Hello everyone, newbie here.
With the news of tvpad 1-3 no longer being in service from the new year, was interested in trying vpn for now. I understand is temporary, but I have a parent who relies on her news and tv on tvpad.
Does the vpn method still work? I have a tvpad3 and live in NYC. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated!

    Nope. even with VPN tvp3 doesn't work anymore. At least not for me. I even tried the 49 and 47 dns with vpn, I am in nyc bklyn. but 49 dns + router vpn works for tvp4

    TVP3 working with 2nd router VPN method connected to HK or China server, i can get VOD and live streaming working fine.

    using purevpn 2nd router and connected to HK or china VPN server
    auto DNS on router and TVP3

    That's awesome! Sorry to bother but would you happen to have instructions for setup. Just purchased purevpn. Have my 2nd router here.

    Seems like some of the apps are back working but not all. Guessing it will be short-lived and they will cut us off on the 1st.

    There are a lot of instructions posted by Padman and XChemical on how to setup vpn with router with PPTP. if any reason you run into issues, you can PM me and i'll see what I can do. Please include your router brand and model as well. Thanks

    My TV pad 3 with vpn router has stopped working 2 days ago, so don't waste your money, looks like we just have to move on with other devices.
