How to backup apps on TVPad 4

If you want to backup on a tvpad4, use something like Helium...

    How to use this program? Am I supposed to install this app to my PC or onto the TVPAD4? How can I get this into a TVPAD4? Can you walk me through what I should do?

    There's no need to backup apps on tvpad so, you can find all the apps in the forum here.

    I have the same question. How do you make Helium work with TVpad4 and computer? Also, has anyone successfully backup the apps and reset their TVpad4 to see if it retains fw 5.054 or does it change to 5.06?

    Run the backup on tvpad, then copy the apk's onto your USB drive.

    I am in US and have tvpad4 v5.054. Did a factory reset and since not all old apps are available (esp Cantonese VOD for HK drama) from tvpad store, I went ahead and installed the 23 apps for v5.06 from this forum, which cause my tvpad4 to have a user restriction. I am trying to find a way to copy the old apps from a good tvpad4 and installed them into this problem tvpad.

    this might work for those who still need to install helium.

    download Helium
    copy apk file to root of a usb drive
    extract just the batchinstall.banana file from either TVPad 4 apps Pack 1 or TVPad 4 apps Pack 2 zip file
    copy batchinstall.banana to the root of a usb stick

    turn on tvpad4, plug in usb drive and install.

    does that work?

    Why even need to backup the apps from tvpad4? All the apps are here in the forum.

    Going to get my TVPad 4's today (hopefully DHL don't mess up the delivery)

    I'll try to make some videos on how to run the backup.

    Any one figure iut how to back uo apps? Wasn't successful using Helium, stuck at the point where it keeps telling me to connect my Android to my PC. Don't know how to do it.

    Does anyone has a backup method working yet ?

    I look at my TvManager but cannot find a copy function

    all you need to download the following app, install on your Tvpad4 and select the app you want to backup to USB drive
    just copy batchinstall.banana and the following app to USB drive and it will install the "App Backup & Restore 4.0.5"

    you can use your TVP4 remote to select any app from the TVPAD to backup
