kodi plugins don't break the same way as tvpad. They rely on parsing websites that link to the publicly-available videos. So one site might have a good collection of links to youtube tvb episodes. azdrama has a list of these sites and scans them for the links.
The problem is these sites don't really appreciate plugins automatically taking their links without you looking at the ads. So they frequently change the layout of the site to break the plugin. The actual content may still be there but not accessible until the plugin owner updates it in response to the website changes.
Of course youtube and the like may also remove the actual content.

I don't have a TVpad 4 to try it on. I have it installed in my ipad and macbook. Sometimes the app take a bit of time to catch up to the changes. So It comes and goes. You just have to wait a little for the newer app updates to fix it again.

Couldn't get that one working as the apk it downloads both using the link and QR code seems to install 1Mobile and not the actual hk tv shows app.
I got a question on the repos. Has anyone have success adding the Chinese addons and having the videos work without VPN and DNS?
Yes, most of the ones from super repo works. Also stick to 2 channel audio, anything else seems to cause the tvpad4 to lose sound completely forcing you to reset power.
fwiw, if anyone installs KODI 15.2 from Play Store onto generic android box, and discover the movie and drama titles only seem to display english titles and square blocks where there should be chinese titles, here is a fix.
First thing to try is go into Settings->Appearances->Skin Settings and change the Font to 'Arial based'.
If there is no 'Arial based' font option, then here is alternative instructions to replace the Arial font file used by KODI:

Kode is working great in TVpad4
Use the kodi-15.2-Isengard-armeabi-v7a.apk
and CONFIGURATOR for KODI_4.7_apk-dl.com.apk
plus above plugin.
Good luck

Why? I have azdrama on TVP4 kodi installed using the TV Files Manager from the tvpad store with the kodi apk file on a usb stick. VOD works great.

If there is no 'Arial based' font option, then here is alternative instructions to replace the Arial font file used by KODI:
Download and unzip the arial.ttf font file located in this thread. This is arial.ttf font file with unicode support. It is over 20MB in size.
https://forums.tvaddons.ag/dknight-s-xbmc-addons/27548-foreign-fonts-kodi-xbmc.html
I am using the default confluence skin in KODI 15.2, so the new font file has to be dropped into this path:
sdcard/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/addons/skin.confluence/fonts
Rename the original arial.ttf file before copying and pasting new arial.ttf into above path.
