Need Help ED2 error

I just purchased a brand new HTV3 unit from ebay. when I installed 粤好睇 and try to play it, it's giving me ED2 error code. I did some research in here, and it seems like some people are saying the unit is not activated. What does that mean? Can some one please help me =)

    You need to contact the seller. Nothing you can do will fix it.

    why would anyone buy a box that is almost 2 years old? just get a refund and buy the newer version htv5 or a2 box.
