    Fw5.054 with best dns in hk works no need for vpn in the us. I have three tvpads . One with 5.054 works with best DNS.. One with 5.060 that displayed FW update screen . That works wth best dNS but the fact update screen keep popping up. I guess I have to update it. Third one I upgraded from 5.060 to 5.066 and got restricted but works once VPN and best DNS were used. Fw5.066 gets google play and access to tvpad store.

    It can be downgrade .used the"TWRP recovery" the prerequisites is you have to have before version backup file .to restore.I have all the versions backup file.but the problem is downgrade or not.can solve the problem i do not know.there is one more thing to do is enter to recovery .wipe the date and the cache.back to the factory.if any one have to try it.i can upload the file.
    I would like to see the procedures and willing to try them out. Thanks.

    Can you show what is TWRP recovery. It sound interesting, And do you have V5.054 firmware file?
    That would be great if we can go back to V5.054.

    Only if necessary, but now it still no VOD on 5.054 why bother, so it just in case when needed.

    No in v5.054 when we use manual setup to good DNS 158.132.187.187 then everything working normal (But this way in V5.066 the Pad will lockup)

    不用root的只要将TWRP和recovery.img文件复制到sdcard放到tvpad4，接电源的同时按底部复位键等一下哀会出来的了。

    之前轉dns或用vpn就旦个"user restricted"

    話说我部tvpad冇reset键的。得个洞。真賤！
