Happy New Year! We live in California USA, my tvpad4 (YueTV ) started not working since 3 days ago, we have android version: 4.4.2. version GVOS(A)-TVPAD-5.054. network AUTO Ethernet. We only watch Cantonese TV, and YueTV was great until few days ago, now our Yuetv only able to watch live tv, no more VOD, movies, dramas, etc... all not working except live tv. I just download front page TVPad 4 apps Pack 1 (for 5.06 FW) 23 apps, but none working, what should I do? I am able to read Chinese too. Please help! Thanks a lot in advance!

@JustPassBy Not sure about the blacklist. But if you never charged back on the purchase then you shouldn't be blacklisted.
Are you trying to use yuetv or the cantonese app ?
Mostly YueTV or Cantonese apps for TV B shows and also use other apps for mainland Chinese shows
When I was at version 5.06, none of the apps that I got and installed from the first post for version 5.06 works. However, I was able to get few apps. that I have been used in version 5.045 to work. These apps. are CIBN, Tencent video, 长城, etc. but not YueTV. Nothing works in version 5.066.

I hope you see the issues in my posts so I would recommend you not upgrading your firmware. At least you still have the live stream shows.

I hope you see the issues in my posts so I would recommend you not upgrading your firmware. At least you still have the live stream shows.

@padman Since I can get few apps run on version 5.06, I am thinking revert the firmware back to 5.06 from 5.066 so that my box doesn't become a piece of brick. Do you know what version of YueTV works on 5.06? I tried YueTv 2.1 and 0.42 and they didn't worked for me at 5.06.

I have 5.054, YueTV and 長城had been working great until few days ago. Now we still has YueTV =( live only) , and 長城(seems all) working. But we mainly watched YueTV VOD, Drama....

@padman Looks like I can't revert back to version 5.06 from 5.066. Is that expected?
It can be downgrade .used the"TWRP recovery" the prerequisites is you have to have before version backup file .to restore.I have all the versions backup file.but the problem is downgrade or not.can solve the problem i do not know.there is one more thing to do is enter to recovery .wipe the date and the cache.back to the factory.if any one have to try it.i can upload the file.

Can you show what is TWRP recovery. It sound interesting, And do you have V5.054 firmware file?
