TVPad 4 - Please share on "What makes your TVPad work"

Like title says, this is a thread to focus/consolidate all the "methods" we have tried to make our little Pad to work, either partially or fully. Try to list out the steps clearly and what works or not, etc.

In my case - My tvpad4 5.0.5 from Minnesota USA, changed DNS to 146, only KOREA-HOT app works and nothing else :-(

    Thank you guys.

    How do I back up the TVpad 4s app?

    There is a document folder call install package, is that I should copy?

    I can watch live on both Pad2 and 4, I tried one of the old DNS and can watch replay for about an hour (43.......)

    Now only "live works".

    But VST and all other Mainland works fine. Really strange!

    I downloaded the file and installed all 29 apps. Still can't play hk playbacks but some do work on Chinese and Movies though. Making the box not so paper weight ... Thanks for the link!!

    Hi I live in Australia and I have a TVPad 4 only for 6 months. I have reset the pad to factory default and lost all apps, have tried changed the DNS, not working, what is 'FW' and where to find them, can anyone help please?

    Go to the link 2 posts up and download the zip. Unzip all 29 APK files and put them on a USB stick and plug it into ur tvpad4. Then your pad should prompt you to do batch install and go ahead to install them all.

    I used VPN. Installed OpenVPN onto my TVPad4 and use the VPN service I have connected to canada, it is working great! The two confirmed paid vpn service are:

    PureVPN
    Privateinternetaccess (PIA)

    My tvpad4 Siddley can'twatch video and then I try to reset tvpad then everything blackout, what can I do.

    People are just jumping the gun looking at the first post and tried it without reading EVERYTHING!!!!

    USA users. DO NOT UPGRADE YOUR FIRMWARE (FW) to 5.060. YOU WILL REGRET IT LATER.

    If you're not getting the firmware through the upgrade online option. It means they're not sending it to you. AND it will DISABLE your tvpad if you manually upgrade it.

    READ the F-ing posts and you'll see even more people coming back crying they BRICK their tvpad.

    Canadian users ARE getting the firmware update online. So all the users that you see talking about firmware upgrade and no problem ARE CANADIANS. If you're not in CANADA. Just ignore these posts about 5.060.


    What's working for USA?
    App updates and DNS change. NOT working 100% but SOMETIMES live streaming works.
    App updates and VPN to other countries. i.e. Canada, Hong Kong, etc. 95% working. live stream works, some VOD doesn't.
    Install other Apps not meant for TVPad, i.e. vChannel. how? READ the F-ing posts.

    For USA pad buddy, this works 100% for me, but u will need to decide if u want to pay for the service annually after trail expires.

    If your using just the VPN and some apps don't work try adding the DNS. This could be TVPAD only allow their domain to their sever to stream stuff or watch movie. Seem like only some apps need the DNS.

    Is your VPN solution still work for TVpad4. I live in the USA, can you give me more detail on how to set that up. I also cant find the Zenmate VPN client file for android. Can you help please.

    Hi, I am the one who upgraded to V5.060 and regret it now. My TVpad is now restricted. Can you please advise how I can reset it back to V5.054, or what can I do ? Thanks.

    I try this, install the zenmate apps ok, but the tvpad remote dont allow me to move down and pick the vpn server. Also, after the zenmate apps was loaded, the tvpad will keep having internet not available error (may be I didnt logoff zenmate since my tvoad remote dont allow me to move down). I am going to try an usb mouse and see if that solve the problem. Can you give me some idea on what I should do. Also, if the VPN connection work, what DNS setting I should use? Should I use the auto IP address? Much appreciate it.

    I just bought tvpad4 m418, but I can not get into the movies, news and all. It has server error problem. Does anybody know how to fix this problem? I am live in US.
