All, happy new year. I am making some progress. I got the VPN router to connect.. see screenshot.
However, i cant connect to any apps using the TVPAD. I am using TVPAD 4 running v.5.054 firmware.

Sure. What did it for me was using the pw keep solid emailed me. Keep user name as your email, but use the pw they email you. It should be comprised of a mix of alpha and numeric digits. If u don't have it, email them for it. Good luck and pls ask if u have issues. Im no expert but this thread helped me alot.
@dsang23 Thank you for your reply. I haven't received any email with a pw. my pw consist of a mix of alpha and numeric characters. On my laptop i can make a connection without any problem. I will mail Keep Solid and ask if they could send me a pw. Thanks for your help.

Yes, reach out to support and request one. Its different than the one you use to start your account with keep solid. Its a mix of alpha n numeric. Once I used that it connected right up.
All, quick question. I have been using this flawlessly with occasion router reboot as the TVPAD time doesnt sync and i cant get my app. All i have to do is to reboot my vpn router to get it up and running again. no big deal. Does anyone else experience the same? also, i am very curious regarding this question: would you know if i am suppose to pass the server test while conducting a network test? I pass all the check except server.
Hello, anyone care to chime in on this? Are we suppose to pass the network test and is eveyrone having issues with the TVPAD time being out of sync? I've noticed it 3x and each time i have to shut off the VPN router and tv pad to get it back in sync. Is this common and anyway to solve this? haven't got time to fix the router issue till now. The support has sent me the code and it all works. Only the live tv app is working for me. The VOD apps doesnt work. I think everyone else has the same problem.

My location is New York, I run some test with my TVPAD 4, using the hk.unlimited server... find out that the Cantonese apps like BETV PLUS and 港粵網路電視 are only work for like couple of minutes and at the same time Mandarin Apps like VST and TV家2.0 doesn't working at all(VOD and Live Streams)...
Without VPN connection(regular Connection) from 1st router, VST VOD works but NO live streams (all CCTV and all other Chinese province channels) and of course all the Cantonese apps dead...
Can you help me out on this... Is there any way to make it both Cantonese apps and Mandarin apps working at the same time?

VST全聚合 and 电视家2.70 both are regular Androids apps,suppose will run freely even with VPN, how about try the other server in main China to see what happen.

I didn't see there's any China server for VPN unlimited...
@simoni, try the Canadian servers, those are faster. Also, you need to update the apps via app store if you haven't done so.
Hi there, So I switch to the Canadian servers and run the test... The result is the same, it works for several minutes. After you exit one app and run another, and play around with different apps, ends up none of the apps will work at the end...

Ok simonli if you are in New York try to setup to auto (no VPN, change DNS) and try to run YueTV and 36TV let see what happen.....

under the No VPN, and no DNS change situation, YUE TV Works, and VST Works. And almost all other apps doesn't...

I have a TVPad 2. I have set up the vpn according to the instructions in this thread. I know the VPN is working because when I connect my laptop to VPN router(router 2) and type yahoo.com, I am automatically routed to the hk.yahoo.com site. (I am using VPN Hong Kong VPN server.)
However, my TVPad 2 still doesn't work. I tried to do a network test on TVPad2, and everything (IP address, subnet mask, gateway, DNS server) is okay except when it comes down to the server test, TVPad 2 gives me an error code of -1 (or +1, I forgot). When I try to watch live TV, it doesn't work. Could it be my apps in TVpad2 is not up-to-date. Could anyone points me to where to get the apps that are working for TVpad2? Thanks.
Also, please provide some pointers if there are other things I could try to get this to work for my in-laws, thanks very much.
