Traded in TVP1

A while back I sent in TVPAD1 MAC number for an upgrade TVPAD4. They never ask for the old device just the MAC number so it was still working with occasionally blocker page in screen. Now, the green man is not longer active even with VPN router hookup to the device. Does this mean they finally disabled the MAC number completely? This old TVPAD1 is no longer be able to view HK apps?

    My TVpad 1 still works. But never traded mine in.

    I think you're among the lucky few that they didn't disable the tvpad1 for when you upgraded. Some people's devices got disabled right after they ordered the replacement tvpad4. It's the MAC address that they no longer recognize.

    I'm thinking of getting the TVpad 4. Even if if they get shutdown permanently, one still can put apps there to watch other Chinese shows.

    Are you referring to watching from the USB via player? What other apps can you put into a disabled TVP1? Please advise.. Thank you.

    I meant to write TVPad 4 not 1.

    Since my TVP1 is totally disabled, everything is not working not even the USB via player. I guess a disabled TVP1 is a brick or can it be use for something else?

    Mmmm, I don't think it has to do with them disabling your mac.

    Matter of fact I don't think they have done what they said they were gonna do when the forced tvpad 4 upgrade screen appeared

    Try using another dns server

    Mr Padman - You're correct! I played around the DNS with VPN router connected, finally got the green man back. The 47.. DNS number brought back live on my TVPad1. Matter of fact, I was able to go into the TVPad store to load and upgraded my current apps. Thank you for your information.
